This division is designed to give 8 year old players their 1st experience playing travel level baseball.

Here are the basic rules for the 2019 WYAL 8u division:
- Born after date - 4/30/2010
- Field Size - 42 ft mound / 55 ft bases
- Time - no new inning after 1 hours & 45 minutes
- Innings Played & # of umps - 6 innings & 1 umpire ($25 per team)
- Leading & Stealing - Leading is not allowed
- Stealing is allowed at 2nd base & 3rd base
after the pitch has crossed the plate
- Stealing of home is NOT allo
- Runners CANNOT advance on over-throws
- Drop 3rd strikes are NOT enforced
- Bats Allowed - Wood bats & USA bats
- Runs per inning - 5 runs per inning, 6th inning is open
- Lineups - Universal
- Mercy Rule - 15 after 3 innings, 12 after 4 innings & 10 after 5 innings
