This division is designed for advanced 12 year old players now looking to play the game using most of the MLB rules. Leading & Drop 3rd strikes rules will be enforced and the field size will be to 60' mound \ 90' bases. Pitchers will be forced to learn how to pitch from the stretch and catchers will be forced to learn about throwing to 2nd & 3rd base and controlling the running game.

   Here are the basic rules for the 2021 NYCE 12u 60-90 division:

 

 - Born after date - 4/30/2009

 - Field Size - 60 ft mound / 90 ft bases

 - Innings Played & # of umps - 6 innings & 2 umpires

($50 per team)

 - Time - no new inning after 2 hours

 - Leading & Stealing is allowed

 - Drop 3rd strikes are enforced

 - Bats Allowed - Wood bats only

(no composite, bamboo is allowed)

 - Lineups - Universal optional 

Starters can re-enter in same lineup spot

bench players cannot re-enter

 - Mercy Rule - 12 after 4 innings 

& 10 after 5 innings
